Mandatory information on a French website

Did you know that the following information is required on your French website?

  • for an individual entrepreneur: name, first name, address
  • for a company: company name, legal form, address of the company or of the head office (and not just a post office box), amount of the share capital
  • email address and phone number
  • for a commercial activity: registration number in the Registre du commerce et des sociétés (RCS); individual tax identification number intra-community VAT number
  • for a craftmans activity: number of registration in the Répertoire des métiers (RM)
  • for a regulated profession: reference to applicable professional rules and professional title
  • name and address of the authority that issued the authorization to practice when necessary
  • name of the director of the publication and details of the hosting provider of the website (name, denomination or company name, address and telephone number)
  • for a commercial site, general conditions of sale (GTC): prices (expressed in Euros and TVA), fees and delivery date, terms of payment, after-sales service, right of withdrawal, duration of the offer, cost of the remote communication technique
